Africa-Press – Rwanda. Emmanuel Flomo scored twice as Al Hilal beat Gicumbi FC 3-1 on Friday at Kigali Pelé Stadium to keep up their title push.
Flomo struck in each half, and Adama Coulibaly added a second just before the break. Gicumbi’s Arteta Ndikumana pulled one back in the 75th minute, but Flomo sealed the win late on to take his league tally to eight goals.
The victory moved Al Hilal to ninth place on 20 points, with four games in hand.
Meanwhile, in another game, Musanze FC beat Gasogi United 3-0 in the afternoon kick-off at the same venue.
Tity Hakizimana scored after four minutes, Lubila Katembo added a second in the 21st minute, and Shaban ‘Tchabalala’ Hussein made it three before half-time. Gasogi failed to respond after the break.
The win lifts Musanze to sixth place on 22 points, while Gasogi remain ninth with 19.
Elsewhere, Mubarak Nizeyimana’s first-half goal earned Marines a 1-0 win over Amagaju, taking them to 25 points in fourth place. Amagaju stayed 16th with 12 points.
