Africa-Press – Rwanda. Marines FC forward Fabio Ndikumana netted a lone goal in the 65th minute against Musanze FC on Thursday, May 2 to ensure that his team avoids relegation.
The victory means that with two games to go for the Marines in the topflight, they have now garnered 35 points, enough to keep them afloat since the teams contending with them in the relegation battle cannot catch up.
The relegation contest is now going to the wire among Bugesera FC, Etoile de l’Est, Sunrise FC, Etincelles and Gasogi United as they fight to stay in the topflight.
Marines FC has never been relegated since gaining promotion to the topflight in 1999.
