Africa-Press – Rwanda. Four Rwandan clubs are in race to sign 2024/25 Burundian topflight league top scorer Eddy Nibibona ahead of the June transfer window.
Rayon Sports, AS Kigali, Police FC and Mukura Victory Sports are all said to be interested in the centre forward.
“AS Kigali, Rayon, Police FC and Mukura VS as well as two from Tanzania have showed interest in Nibibona,” a close source to the player told Times Sport.
Nibibona netted 20 goals in the just concluded Burundian top tier league season as his club Rukinzo FC finished 6th with 52 points.
On the international scene, the 23-year-old striker was invited to the Burundian national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Cote d’Ivoire and Seychelles in March but did not get the chance to feature.
