Transfers Haringingo Returns to Kiyovu AS Kigali Targets Trio

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Burundian coach Francis Christian Haringingo has agreed terms to coach SC Kiyovu during the coming 2025/26 season.

Haringingo last coached the Green Baggies during the 2021/2022 season where he guided the club to second place, losing the title to eventual champions APR FC by just one point.

He could return to the touchline four months after he stepped down as head coach of Bugesera before the end of the 2024/25 season due to a poor run of results which were put the club on the brink of relegation to second division.

The club is also close to agreeing a deal to sign Burundian veteran attacker Cedric Amissi. The deal could be finalized as soon as the club clears its outstanding debts owed to several players which prompted world football governing body (FIFA) to impose a transfer ban on the club.

Kiyovu SC will begin preparations for new season on Monday, July 28.

APR to quartet to join AS Kigali on loan

APR FC is set to loan Arsène Tuyisenge, Frodouard Mugiraneza, Olivier ‘Muzungu’ Dushimimana, and Elie Kategaya to AS Kigali.

Army side coach Abderrahim Talib dropped the four players out of his 26-man squad that he will use in the 2025/25 season.
