Africa-Press – Rwanda. Lesotho head coach Leslie Notsi has admitted that it will be tough to overcome Rwanda when the two sides go head to head in 2026 World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday, March 25.
Lesotho lost 1-0 at home to Rwanda in match day 4 of the qualifiers on June 11, 2024, courtesy of a 45th minute goal from Jojea Kwizera and, as the Crocodiles travel to Kigali for the return leg against the same side at Amahoro Stadium on match day 6, Notsi admits it will be a difficult encounter.
“Rwanda are leading the group. They have also played very well, winning against the best, against South Africa and Nigeria (in AFCON qualifiers),” Notsi said.
“So we are expecting another tricky fixture, but we’ve been there before, like you know, to other bigger countries, and we’ve come away with some decent results. So we are just going to go there and do our level best.”
Amavubi lead Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 7 points, while Lesotho are 4th with 5 points.
