Africa-Press – Senegal. Senegalese team AS Douanes will face Mozambican team Ferroviário de Beira in the quarter-finals of the third season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) scheduled in Kigali from 20 to next May 26.
AS Douanes finished second at the Sahara Conference, held in Dakar from March 11 to 21.
The men of Mamadou Gueye « Pabi » will thus challenge the Mozambicans of the Ferroviário (3rd in the Nile Conference) where the Senegalese Makhtar Guèye plays.
“They beat us two years ago. Last year, they imposed themselves in front of the DUC. Now it’s up to us to be ready to be able to face them in better conditions, « said the AS Douanes coach on Saturday at the end of the Saint Michel Cup final won by his team in front of the ‘AS city of Dakar (75-74).

The other quarter-final matches will pit Petro de Luanda (Angola) against Abidjan Basket Club (Côte d’Ivoire), Al Ahly (Egypt) against Rwanda Energy Group.
Stade Malien will face the Cape Town Tigers (South Africa).
