Africa-Press – Seychelles. United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a cable of congratulations to President Wavel Ramkalawan on the occasion of Seychelles’ Independence Day observed on June 29.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, dispatched similar cables to President Ramkalawan on the occasion.
On the night of June 29, the world’s tallest skyscraper, the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and the ADNOC building were lit up in the colours of the Seychelles flag in honour and celebration of Seychelles’ 47th year of independence from the British rule.
The lighting of the Burj Khalifa and ADNOC building in blue, yellow, red, white and green showcases the strong cultural and trade bond between the two countries.
