Africa-Press – Seychelles. Air Seychelles announced in March 2026 that it will launch of flights between Seychelles and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with three weekly nonstop flights for a one-month period and an option to increase to four flights per week depending on market demands. Its aim is to connect the two destinations while there are travel difficulties across the Middle East.
Designed for long-haul travelling, the Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner will be the aircraft used for this route. Etihad Airways has agreed to Air Seychelles using the Dreamliner to enable the route’s efficiency.
These aircraft have a large capacity, suitable for the route between Seychelles and Paris. The Boeing 787-900 offers 290 seats, with 28 Business Class seats included, and 262 Economy Class seats. Both classes will offer comfortable seating arrangements for passengers during the long-haul journeys.

What the new initiative offers
The initiative hopes to support tourism and business travel with the access to Paris, France and the wider region of Europe. It also aims to bring access to Seychelles for travellers, boosting tourism across the country and offering opportunities for travel there through Paris’ flight connections.
The Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles described the airline’s dedication in connecting Seychelles and other markets, stating:
“The introduction of non-stop flights to Paris marks an important milestone for Air Seychelles and for the country’s international connectivity, especially at this time.”
The initiative offers a new alternative route as the Middle East faces many airspace closures through Gulf areas. The airline hopes to offer a dependable route for travellers during this time.
