Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Newly-crowned Sierra Leone Premier League champions, East End Lions, have rewarded head coach, Mohamed Lamin Kamara with Le 50,000 in recognition of his leadership and success in guiding the club to the 2024/25 league title.

In a statement, the club said the payment was made “in appreciation of his leadership and success in guiding the team to this championship.”

The Lions also confirmed that all financial obligations to players have been met, with a total of Le 331,000 disbursed as match-winning bonuses last season.

“This ensured that each victory was duly rewarded and that the players’ dedication on the pitch was matched by the club’s support,” the statement added.

With all commitments fulfilled, the reigning champions say their focus now shifts to preparations for their preliminary-round clash against Union Sportive Monastirienne of Tunisia in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.

Nicknamed The Killers, East End Lions secured the league title with 73 points from 34 matches, finishing the campaign 10 points clear at the top.
