Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, conducted a series of meetings with key stakeholders on Wednesday, focusing on league preparation, infrastructure, and collaborative partnerships.

The day’s events began with the launch of a two-day training workshop for Match Commissioners and General Coordinators. The session is designed to prepare officials for the upcoming 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League and National Women’s Premier League. President Kamara emphasized that the training was critical for ensuring the smooth and credible management of both competitions.

Later, President Kamara received a delegation from the Veteran Footballers Association, who congratulated him on his election. The group commended his ongoing efforts to transform the sport, notably the rehabilitation of the SLFA Secretariat, and pledged their support for his administration.

The Western Area Muslim Community (WMC) also paid a courtesy visit, led by Chairman Sheikh Abubakar Conteh Esq. The delegation praised Kamara’s inclusive leadership and its role in promoting national cohesion. In response, the SLFA President assured the WMC of the continued availability of the SLFA Academy Field for community events, including future Eid prayers.

In a separate meeting, members of the Sierra Leone Reporters Union met with Kamara to acknowledge his administration’s openness to the media. The SLFA President reaffirmed his commitment to a transparent relationship with the press and personally pledged Fifty Thousand Leones (Le 50,000) towards the Union’s initiatives.

The executive of Brookfields Veterans Football Club also visited, presenting a donation of 50 bags of cement to support the ongoing rehabilitation work at the SLFA Secretariat.

President Kamara expressed gratitude for the widespread support, stating that such solidarity motivates the continued pursuit of football excellence in Sierra Leone.
