Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. President Julius Maada Bio has met with His Excellency Nikos Christodoulides, President of the Republic of Cyprus, during an official engagement in Nicosia, Cyprus, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation between their two nations.
The meeting, described as warm and constructive, focused on exploring new opportunities for collaboration in key sectors including education, trade, investment, tourism, and technology.
President Bio expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the government and people of Cyprus and emphasized Sierra Leone’s openness to partnerships that promote mutual growth and development.
“I had the honour of meeting with His Excellency Nikos Christodoulides, President of the Republic of Cyprus, in Nicosia. We reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues for continued collaboration across various sectors,” President Bio said in a statement.
During the discussion, both Heads of State highlighted the long-standing friendship between Sierra Leone and Cyprus, while acknowledging the importance of building stronger diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties in the years ahead.
