Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The National Executive of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has held a high-level strategic meeting with senior ministers of the SLPP-led government to develop a renewed direction for the party.
The meeting, held under the leadership of the SLPP National Chairman, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, focused on strengthening and energizing the party’s grassroots structures across the country.
Party officials said the initiative aims to reinforce unity, improve organizational efficiency, and deepen engagement with supporters nationwide.
Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh represented the government ministers at the meeting. According to party sources, his presence was significant because of his ongoing role in facilitating the welfare of SLPP members and coordinating the work of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Participants confirmed that the discussions were mainly centred on building a more vibrant, coordinated, and united SLPP base, capable of positioning the party for success in the 2028 general elections.
Party members also indicated that the meeting is expected to produce a comprehensive roadmap aligning government performance with the party’s organizational structures, ensuring that the SLPP remains strong, cohesive, and prepared for upcoming political responsibilities.
