APC Aspirant Ibrahim Bangura Meets EU Ambassador

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, a flag bearer aspirant of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, recently held a meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Sierra Leone, His Excellency Jacek Jankowski.

The engagement focused on key issues related to governance, democracy, and national development.

Dr.Ibrahim Bangura is a senior partner of Transition International Netherlands, and he is also a senior Lecturer in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He also serves as a facilitator for Institutions including the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Ghana.

Dr. Bangura used the opportunity to present his vision for Sierra Leone’s future, outlining a range of proposed reforms. Central to his message were priorities such as inclusive governance, the empowerment of young people, and strategies for transforming the national economy.

He emphasized the importance of creating a political environment that promotes participation and development for all segments of society.

Ambassador Jankowski, in his remarks, described the meeting as both constructive and insightful. He confirmed that the two had engaged in an open exchange of views, particularly concerning Sierra Leone’s current political landscape. He reiterated the European Union’s commitment to supporting democratic governance and development in the country.

The meeting comes at a time of growing political activity in Sierra Leone, as parties and aspirants prepare for upcoming internal and national elections.
