APC delegates convention: Court to decide order today

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Justice Hannah Bani has ordered the lawyers of the All Peoples Congress (APC) to serve the plaintiff with the necessary documents if they wish to vacate the interim order.

The judge noted that serving the documents to the plaintiff should be the first step before the parties approach the court to lift the interim order, which is being criticized against the Interim Transition and Governance Committee (ITGC) conference scheduled to be held in Mekne this weekend.

According to the Judiciary, the APC had already ordered the eviction. Against this backdrop, the court reaffirmed that the interim order remains in effect. The Judiciary has gone further to deny rumors that Chief Justice Desmond Babatunde Edwards has met with any foreign entity of interest.

The Judiciary said: ” This information is an obvious lie whose purpose is to mislead people to violate the court order.” In other news, ITGC secretary invited the shortlisted applicants to hand over their bank slips by 12 noon today before the delegates conference. Some party members are still unsure whether the conference will go ahead as planned.
