During the visit, party officials engaged with Kono residents, discussing the need for reconciliation and promising to address past grievances if elected.
However, the tour was marked by the notable absence of Sam Sumana, a former vice president and influential figure within kono District. His absence raises questions about the current alignment between Sumana and the APC leadership, suggesting possible discord within the party.
Despite this, the event attracted a significant turnout, with many community members participating in discussions about building a united front for Sierra Leone’s future. The APC leadership expressed their commitment to rectifying past mistakes and working closely with the Kono people to create a better tomorrow.
