Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has announced a new initiative aimed at addressing recent concerns and grievances raised by various members of the cricket community.
The move comes in response to increased public discourse, including on social media, reflecting growing interest and concern about the governance and development of cricket in the country.
In a statement, CSL acknowledged the significance of these voices and pledged to engage stakeholders through a wide-ranging consultation process.
This effort will be led by Vice Chairman Kobie Walker, who is tasked with coordinating engagements with key groups such as the Members’ Council, former club heads, the Ministry of Sports, the National Sports Authority, and the National Olympic Committee.
The consultation aims to incorporate diverse viewpoints into a shared vision for cricket’s development in Sierra Leone. According to CSL, invitations will be formally extended to relevant stakeholders within two weeks to participate in this process.
Franklyn Remissa Conteh, the organization’s Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and collective decision-making.
He urged patience and sportsmanship from all parties involved, reinforcing a call for unity within the cricket community.
