Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) has issued a public notice announcing the opening of applications for the Swiss Government “Excellence” Scholarship Program for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The scholarship program targets postgraduate research and advanced studies, specifically covering doctoral and postdoctoral research opportunities.
The MTHE has instructed interested candidates to submit their applications through a two-step process:
Online Submission: All required documentation must be submitted online no later than November 30, 2025.

Hard Copy Submission: A completed application form, along with all supporting documents, must also be hand-delivered to the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education in New England Ville, Freetown, on or before November 30, 2025.
The Ministry emphasized a critical requirement for eligibility:
Prerequisite: Interested candidates must hold at least a Master’s degree, as these scholarships are intended for postgraduate students pursuing doctoral and postdoctoral research.
