Faculty of Communication Announces Special English Exam 2025

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Faculty of Communication, Media and Information Studies at Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone, has announced that the Special Examination in English for the 2025 academic year will be held on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m. on the Fourah Bay College campus.

The examination is specifically designed for applicants seeking admission into the faculty’s degree programmes in Broadcast Journalism, Print Journalism, Development Communication, Public Relations, and Marketing Communication, as well as the Diploma in Mass Communication.

All applicants are required to assemble at the faculty’s main building by 8:00 a.m. for verification before the start of the examination. Candidates must bring along the following documents:

A valid national identification card (e.g., NCRA ID, passport, or driver’s licence)

A coloured printed copy of their WAEC result

A copy of the online application form printout

These documents are necessary for identification and eligibility verification prior to the commencement of the exam.

The faculty further emphasizes that this Special Examination in English will be conducted only once, and all applicants for both degree and diploma programmes must participate on the scheduled date.

Importantly, the announcement clarifies that no payment is required to sit the examination participation is completely free of charge.

Applicants are encouraged to prepare adequately and arrive on time, as punctuality and compliance with the stated requirements will be strictly enforced.
