Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Government of Sierra Leone has officially announced that the 63rd Independence Anniversary of Sierra Leone will be observed on Saturday, April 27, 2024. In a press release, the government clarified that Monday, April 29, will not be observed as a Public Holiday, contrary to previous expectations.

The notice, addressed to the General Public, serves to inform citizens and residents of the upcoming Independence Anniversary celebration and the adjusted public holiday schedule.

With the Independence Anniversary falling on a Saturday, there will be no additional public holiday on Monday, April 29.
