Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. In a bid to support the cleaning of Mile 91 township, Hon. Aaron Koroma, Member of Parliament for Tonkolili District, has donated 8 trash cans to the Paramount Chief of Yoni Mamaila Chiefdom, PC Sebora Thelleh III. The donation was made on July 5, 2025, after a joint clean-up exercise organised by the MP and the Paramount Chief.

Hon. Koroma stated that his donation aims to complement the Paramount Chief’s efforts to create a healthier environment in Mile 91. He noted that Mile 91 is rapidly developing, with new institutions and infrastructure, including a Magistrate Court, a university, several hospitals, and international companies and institutions.

“It’s essential that we maintain cleanliness in our town, especially with the rapid development we’re experiencing,” Hon. Koroma said. “I’m happy to support this initiative and call on residents to also do their part in keeping our town clean.”

The MP’s support for the clean-up initiative went beyond the donation of trash cans. During the exercise, Hon. Koroma also provided food, fuel for the trucks, and incentives for the youths who volunteered.

PC Sebora Thelleh III expressed gratitude for the MP’s support, thanking him for answering his call for assistance. The Paramount Chief emphasised the importance of collaboration in maintaining the cleanliness of the town.
