Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministries of Information and Civic Education (MOICE) and Tourism and Cultural Affairs (MoTCA) convened a high-level bilateral meeting on Friday to advance Sierra Leone’s first National Film Policy.

The session, led by Minister Chernor Bah and Minister Nabeela Tunis, focused on strategies for coordinated implementation and joint ownership of the landmark policy.

Officials highlighted the policy’s potential to boost the creative industry, attract investment, create employment opportunities, and showcase Sierra Leone’s cultural heritage globally.

During the meeting, participants outlined steps for regulatory alignment, stakeholder engagement, and promotional activities to ensure the effective roll-out of the policy across the country.

Both ministries reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a vibrant and sustainable film sector.
