Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The head coach of Sierra Leone’s national team, Mohamed Kallon, has announced a 26-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau and Ethiopia, scheduled for September 4 and 9, 2025, respectively.
Kallon said the selection brings together a balanced mix of foreign-based and home-based players, chosen to build a formidable side capable of making the nation proud.
He expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance in recent test matches and voiced confidence in the group’s ability to deliver positive results.
“Leone Stars will regroup this week in Freetown before jetting out for their crucial Group A encounters,” the coach said.
The first match will see Leone Stars face Guinea-Bissau on Thursday, September 4, at 4:00 p.m., at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro.
