Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The State House Director of Communications, Myk Berewa, has highlighted significant achievements in Sierra Leone’s health sector under President Julius Maada Bio’s administration over the past seven years.
In an interview with Liberty Online TV, Berewa emphasized that ambulances are now available in all 16 districts across the country, markedly enhancing emergency response and access to healthcare for citizens nationwide.
Additionally, specialized baby units have been established in hospitals throughout Sierra Leone, ensuring improved neonatal care for infants and better support for mothers. Berewa also noted the creation of 166-bed Julius Maada Bio Centers for Pediatrics at Lumley, reflecting the government’s ongoing commitment to child health and the provision of specialized medical services.
