Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The National Sports Authority (NSA) is set to organize the maiden edition of the Inter-Ministerial, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) Football Gala 2025.
During an inaugural meeting held at the NSA Head Office, Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, Executive Director of the National Sports Authority, emphasized the importance of collaboration and camaraderie among government institutions through football and other sports.
He noted that the primary goal of the gala is to strengthen working relationships among personnel from the various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
Presenting an overview of the upcoming event, the Director of the Institute of Sports, Victor Spain, stated that while the NSA has drafted preliminary rules and addressed key technical aspects of the competition, participating MDAs are encouraged to contribute their own suggestions to ensure the success of the event.
MDAs represented at the inaugural meeting included: Office of the Vice President, parliament of Sierra Leone, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Fisheries, Ministry of Tourism, Sierra Leone Public Transport Authority (SLPTA), National Revenue Authority (NRA), Audit Service Sierra Leone, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO).
The Inter-MDA Football Gala is scheduled to kick off in September 2025.
