Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. President Julius Maada Bio, accompanied by First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, has touched down in London ahead of his much-anticipated keynote speeches at the Oxford Africa Conference 2025 on 24 May and the Oxford Union on 26 May.
At the Oxford Africa Conference, President Bio will address attendees on the theme “Changing Narratives: Vision, Action and Transformation of Africa,” setting the stage for a compelling discussion on the continent’s future.
On Monday 26 May, the President will take the podium at the Oxford Union to present a powerful case advocating for enhanced African representation within a reformed United Nations Security Council.
This year’s Oxford Africa Conference features an impressive roster of distinguished leaders, including Ghanaian President John D. Mahama, Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and World Trade Organization Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, among others.
Renowned for its rich legacy of hosting influential figures across politics, religion, science, and the arts, the Oxford Union has welcomed global leaders such as Ronald Reagan, Sir Winston Churchill, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Albert Einstein, and Stephen Hawking.
