Sierra Leonean Descent Trevoh Chalobah Earns First England National Team Call-Up

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Trevoh Chalobah, the Chelsea center-back of Sierra Leonean descent, has been selected for his first call-up to the England National Team ahead of crucial World Cup Qualifier matche Andorra.

The call up has been deemed a milestone in the defender’s career as he prepares to make his senior debut under new manager Thomas Tuchel.

Trevoh allegedly sidestepped Sierra Leone on multiple occasions in the quest to join the national team, Leone Stars.

The England football authorities confirmed Chalobah’s inclusion in the squad for the forthcoming World Cup Qualifier against Andorra on June 7, followed by a friendly match against Senegal at Wembley on June 10.

Trevoh has captained various England Youth Teams and notably led the U-17 side in 2016 before an ankle injury cut short his U-19 European Championship Campaign. He made his U-20 debut in 2019.

In the call up, the Sierra Leonean Decent, Trevoh joined teammates Recce James and Levi Colwill in the squad, along with senior club mates Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke
