Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Sierra Leone’s high-level delegation, led by the chief minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, will visit the United Kingdom next week to promote strategic investment possibilities across critical sectors.
“I will lead a team of public and private sector partners to the UK next week. Over the week, we will host a Sierra Leone Investment Forum, where deals are ready to be signed, engage the British International Investment who have prioritized Sierra Leone with an additional $100m dedicated for private sector, and participate at AFSIC.” Said chief minister Sengeh.
The Sierra Leone Investment Forum will be held during the visit, as will the Africa Financial Services Investment Conference (AFSIC).
The mission seeks to attract capital into agriculture, infrastructure, including energy, and digital and financial services by uniting the public and private sectors. Several investment contracts are likely to be signed during the forum.
The National Investment Board acts as a key coordinating point for government, investors, and private sector actors. The visit will include meetings with British International Investment, which has committed an additional $100 million to Sierra Leone’s private sector.
Sengeh says the delegation will also work with the UK High Commission in Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone’s High Commission in the UK, BII, and diaspora members.
