Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra Leone Football Association has successfully concluded a comprehensive training for Match Commissioners and General Coordinators ahead of the 2025/2026 male and Female Premier Leagues. On Thursday, November 6th, 2025.
The training, which attracted over a hundred football officials from across the country, was designed to empower those responsible for match coordination with the right knowledge and tools to deliver professional, transparent, and well-managed competitions.
Leading the sessions, SLFA Vice President 2, Prince Saquee, a CAF and FIFA certified Match commissioner, supported by the head of Competition, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, a Certified Match Coordinator, guided participants through both theoretical lessons and hands-on practicals focused on matchday organization, discipline, and compliance with CAF and FIFA standards.
Furthermore, Executive Committee Members, Abdul Osman Turay and Mohamed Sorie Jalloh, witnessed the final day’s practical session, commended the initiative, and lauded the leadership of President Kamara for prioritizing capacity development within the football administration sector.
During the engagement, the SLFA’s leadership has emphasized that this kind of training is not just about knowledge sharing, but about building a culture of professionalism and accountability, a key ingredient in the Association’s ongoing drive to make the Sierra Leone Premier Leagues (Men and Women) one of the most credible competitions in the subregion.
Finally, with the successful completion of this training for Match Commissioners and Coordinators are ready to uphold high standards in the upcoming season, ensuring that every match reflects the Association’s renewed commitment to excellence and integrity.
