Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has announced the delegation of authority by its National Chairman to key officials for the upcoming elections of the National Young Generation Council.
Scheduled for Sunday, June 29, 2025, the elections will be held at the Party’s headquarters in Freetown, marking a crucial step in promoting youth engagement within the party.
In accordance with Article 14A (5) of the SLPP Constitution, which was adopted in August 2020, the National Chairman has appointed four distinguished party members to lead the electoral process.
The Chairman appointed the Northwest Region Chairman, Ambassador Bond Wurie, Regional Trustee for the Soujthern Region, Martha Swarray-Koker, Regional Chairman Eastern Region, Umaru Kondorvor and Deputy National Organising Secretary, Alhassan George as officials in the upcoming elections on Sunday.
The officials are expected to oversee the smooth running of the elections avoiding violence like the one in Bo which faced wide condemnation from party stalwarts and the general public.
