Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. A horrific road accident occurred on the Waterloo highway just after Fana Factory, known locally as Devil Hole, involving the collision of a sprinter van and a truck, resulting in the deaths of two individuals at the scene.
The tragic incident occurred in the afternoon hours of Sunday, 18th May, 2025. Reports indicated that the driver of the sprinter and a female passenger died instantly in the crash.
Further confirming that over five other passengers sustained critical injuries and were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care. The identities of the deceased have not yet been officially released.
Eyewitnesses at the scene have suggested that overspeeding and reckless driving may have cased the accident.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, and more information is expected to emerge as the investigation continues.
