Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Assistant Coach II of Sierra Leone Premier League side Wusum Stars, Hassan Mansaray, has vowed that his team will not be relegated this season despite sitting in 16th position after 25 games.

The Makeni-based club has recently found form after taking 4 points out of 6 in their previous two matches. The club thrashed Lungi club Lamboi FC by 4-1 on home turf after holding East End Tigers to a 1-1 draw.

The recent results have seen the Makeni club sitting in the relegation zone but with just two points behind Luawa FC.Reacting to his club’s recent form, Coach Mansaray said he believes his team will continue to build on recent results.

“I’m using this opportunity to plead for more support from our supporters and encourage my players to stick to winning,” Coach Mansaray told sports journalist Alusine Rehme Wilson.

The Makeni club’s performance this season has been abysmal after finishing third last season. The club brought in a new head coach in January to keep them in the top flight but has still been struggling until recently.
