Africa-Press – South-Africa. Police Minister Senzo Mchunu has handed over digital devices to members of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) regarding an ongoing investigation.
Mchunu’s spokesperson, Sthembiso Mshengu, confirmed that a search- and-seizure warrant was executed on Thursday, with members of the PKTT informing Mchunu about their intentions prior to arriving at his residence.
It’s understood that a previous attempt to obtain Mchunu’s devices was unsuccessful.
Eyewitness News understands it relates to a case of defeating the ends of justice that KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi opened.
“Yesterday [Thursday] evening the police from the KZN PKTT, in pursuit of their case, visited the official residence of the minister. his support staff as well being present, handed over the gadgets that he uses for his daily activities as well as a government issued laptop,” explained Mshengu.
