DA 'self-serving' after opposing no-confidence vote on axed KwaDukuza Mayor Lindi Nhaca: Siboniso Duma

Africa-Press – South-Africa. The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has accused the Democratic Alliance (DA) of being selfish after opposing the vote of no confidence on axed KwaDukuza mayor Lindi Nhaca.

In September, the ANC suspended Nhaca, who was their mayor in the Kwadukuza local municipality from the party.

During a council meeting that voted Nhaca out last week, the DA opposed to motion to have him removed.

Duma added the DA’s stance was selfish.

“It is a selfish need, it is what they usually do – thinking always [to] advance their posture; DA’s posture was self-serving,” said Duma
