EFF MK Party Reject DA No-Confidence Motion Against Lesufi

Africa-Press – South-Africa. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party have refused to support the Democratic Alliance (DA)’s motion of no confidence against Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi.

Political parties in the provincial legislature are currently debating the no-confidence vote.

The DA initiated the motion to oust Lesufi, citing issues such as the disbanding of the crime prevention wardens and alleged mismanagement related to the Tembisa Hospital tender corruption scandal.

The EFF’s Moses Koma has dismissed the DA’s motion against the premier and African National Congress (ANC) leader as baseless.

“Madam speaker, there is no motion sponsored by Stellenbosch and concocted by Donald Trump that will find expression. We want our land now.”

The MK Party’s Thabang Nkani said it still supports Lesufi remaining in office.

“As the MK Party, we stand firm and unequivocal against this frivolous motion of no confidence tabled by the DA. The DA is a party founded in 1999 by a racist opposition.”
