Lesufi said Kadiege had never returned home, and that his body had been found in Winterveldt on Sunday morning.

He said:

“We are disheartened by the untimely death of our revered principal, and we wish to convey our sincerest condolences to the school community and his beloved family.”

Lesufi said a psychosocial unit had been sent to the “school to extend trauma support and counselling to those who may be affected by this incident”.

He added that he would be visiting the school and family later on Monday.

Some people on social media claimed that Kadiege may have been hijacked, but this is as yet unconfirmed.

Gauteng Police’s Colonel Dimakatso Sello confirmed that they were investigating.

“The police are investigating a case of murder after a body of a man was discovered at Winterveld in a bushy area next to the road on 25 September 2022,” she said.

“The motive of the murder is unknown at this stage, and police in Loate will continue with investigations.
