Africa-Press – South-Africa. A candidate attorney at Malabye Mthembu Attorneys and Partners appeared in court for allegedly stealing R3.8 million from the firm’s trust fund account.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Onga Ntozini, 32, appeared in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Monday.
He was charged with two counts of theft.
NPA spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana said Ntozini allegedly swindled the firm by emptying its trust fund account between November and December 2020.
The matter was postponed to 20 April for disclosure of the docket.
