Africa-Press – South-Africa. The City of Cape Town has finally put in motion plans to upgrade the popular Strandfontein Pavilion.

Deputy Mayor and mayoral committee member for spatial planning and environment, Eddie Andrews, met with the community on Thursday to provide an update on the City’s vision for the area.

“A professional team is being appointed to investigate the development options for this area. The team will also be responsible for determining the water and sewage capacity in the area and will conduct a traffic study along and at the intersection of Baden Powell Drive and Old Strandfontein Roads,” Andrews said.

“These aspects form part of the initial groundwork, which will produce the data needed to prepare some possible development options for the pavilion and surrounding area,” he added.
