The disciplinary hearing against Du Toit was scheduled to start at the university on Wednesday.

Du Toit was suspended from the university last month after a video was shared, which showed him urinating on Ndwayana’s possessions and calling him “boy”.

Ndwayana filmed Du Toit urinating on his desk, laptop and books inside his Huis Marais residence room on 15 May.

The hearing is being held behind closed doors.

The university said it would release a statement once it had received a report from the disciplinary committee panel.

Following the incident, Du Toit’s father, Rudi, called Kaduka and apologised, promising to have a meeting with him.

Kaduka said the meeting never took place and that Rudi had not said anything since the phone call on 18 May.
