Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Political Parties Youth Forum (PPYF) have applauded President Salva Kiir for reconstituting institutions to conduct elections and called on the parties to speed up membership registration.
According to the statement seen by the City Review, the PPYF spokesman, Adhar Awak, said the body welcomed the move and urged the political parties to quickly register their members to pave the way for registration.
“We call upon the political parties to speed up the process of registering their members to qualify for an effective political party and register by political party,” Awak said.
He appreciated the Presidency for taking a step to reconstitute these important institutions that could take the country to an election.
“The Political Parties Youth Forum leadership is pleased to congratulate President Salva Kiir Mayardit for this important milestone in the implementation of important provisions in the R-ARCISS,” he said.
He added that the body stands with the formation of the Political Parties Council, the National Elections Commission, and the National Constitution Review Commission.
He said that the youth would continue to stand behind the implementation of the peace agreement and support all the possible roads to elections in December 2024.
