Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Director of the Department of Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador John Ulanga, has conducted practical training for diplomats from the Republic of South Africa on how Tanzania implements its economic diplomacy strategy.
Speaking at the Ministry’s sub-offices in Dar es Salaam, Ambassador Ulanga outlined the history of Tanzania’s Foreign Policy and how it is implemented through the framework of economic diplomacy. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the role economic diplomacy plays in fostering national economic growth and enhancing international relations.
The South African diplomats are in Tanzania for a one-year practical training program, which is part of their preparation before being deployed to various South African embassies around the world.
On behalf of the diplomats, South African Embassy Officer in Tanzania, Mr. Ndumiso Mngadi, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation for the support and comprehensive training provided. He noted that the knowledge gained will assist the diplomats in carrying out their daily responsibilities and improving their effectiveness in the field.
This training initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations and promote knowledge exchange between Tanzania and South Africa, particularly in economic and international affairs.
