Bashungwa Cautions People Planning to Disrupt Elections

Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Home Affairs Minister, who is also the Parliamentary Candidate for Karagwe Constituency, Innocent Bashungwa, has assured all Tanzanians that security and safety have been strengthened across the country, so that citizens can come out in large numbers to vote to elect the President, Members of Parliament, and Councilors without any fear tomorrow, October 29, 2025.

Bashungwa said this today, during a meeting to close the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) national campaigns, one day before the 2025 General Elections.

“Tomorrow, October 29, there will be no problem. Security agencies under the Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with other security agencies, are in full swing across the country. Security has been strengthened, so Tanzanians, let us go and vote without any fear. And anyone who dares to disrupt the peace, will face a stump,” Bashungwa stressed.

In addition, Bashungwa has called on the youth to come out and participate fully in the elections, also urging them to refrain from any actions or inducements that could disrupt peace, emphasizing that the Chama Cha Mapinduzi Manifesto has identified many opportunities specifically for the youth.
