Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Presidential candidate, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has promised to enhance the value of arts and sports in the country to benefit all stakeholders in these sectors.
Speaking at the closing rally of CCM’s campaigns today, October 28, 2025, at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza, Dr. Samia stated that her government will continue to protect the intellectual property of artists and athletes, as well as ensure they receive fair compensation for their work.
She said that among the strategies is the construction of a modern film studio and a large entertainment hall, which will create new opportunities and increase the value of the arts and sports industry in the country.
Additionally, Dr. Samia emphasized that the government will provide stakeholders in these sectors with essential resources, including modern technological equipment and a supportive environment to expand their work both domestically and internationally.
She further added that her government will leverage the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament to improve and construct new sports facilities, a move that will further develop the sector and create employment opportunities for young people.
