Africa-Press – Tanzania. SIMBA SC’s Media and Communication Manager, Ahmed Ally, has provided an update on the club’s transfer activity and injury status as the team prepares for the second half of the season.
In a press briefing, Ally explained that Coach Steven Barker had used Mapinduzi Cup as an opportunity to assess his squad and make decisions on potential signings.
“During the Mapinduzi Cup, Coach Steven Barker had the chance to evaluate his squad and assess the areas he needs to strengthen moving forward.
We have already completed the transfers of four players, and we will soon announce them to the public,” Ally said.
Simba SC has already seen two players depart during this transfer window.
Midfielder Mzamiru Yassin has joined TRA United on loan, while Awesu Awesu has moved to Kenya Polisi, also on loan.
Regarding the club’s goalkeepers, Ally provided updates on their injury update.
“Moussa Camara, our goalkeeper, is recovering well from his injury and will soon begin his fitness training. He’s on track to make a return,” he said.
However, Ally confirmed that another goalkeeper, Yakoub Suleiman, will be out for an extended period due to injury.
“Yakoub will be sidelined for about a month. He has already completed phase one of his medical treatment and will soon begin phase two, which will take at least a month to complete,” Ally added.
