Africa-Press – Tanzania. CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential running mate, Ambassador Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi has stated that CCM is the only party in the country with the proven experience of governing effectively and delivering significant development achievements to the people.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Makambako, Njombe Region, Dr Nchimbi said no other party in Tanzania has a longer history of national leadership than CCM, which is why every government formed by the party leaves an indelible mark of development for Tanzanians.

He noted that CCM’s experience has been a key driver of the country’s development, unlike some nations that have struggled despite being governed by other parties for long periods. Dr Nchimbi added that no political party in the country can truly claim experience in national leadership.

“They may talk about experience in councillorship, parliament, or a few local governments, but when it comes to leading a country, they avoid the subject. CCM is the only party with proven experience in successfully leading the nation,” he said.

On business and the economy, Dr Nchimbi stated that CCM is committed to creating a more business-friendly tax environment over the next five years, one that encourages voluntary tax compliance by eliminating arbitrary levies and reducing the burden on traders.

He explained that the party plans to implement TRA policies that remove unnecessary taxes while introducing fair levies that will promote development.

Dr Nchimbi noted that Makambako as a commercial hub and a strategic link between the southern highlands, needs competitive policies and quality trade infrastructure, including a modern market and bus terminal, to stimulate local and national economic growth.

He said CCM is determined to construct a modern market and bus terminal in Makambako within the next five years to improve services for traders and passengers.

The development agenda will go hand in hand with enhancing health services, including constructing two new health centres, three dispensaries and upgrading Makambako Hospital with new medical equipment and expanded services.

Education has also been prioritised, with plans to build 251 new classrooms and increase the number of primary and secondary schools to meet rising student numbers.

On water services, Dr Nchimbi said CCM aims to ensure that 95 out of every 100 citizens have access to clean and safe water within the next five years, improving from the current 85 per 100 citizens.

He also said livestock keepers in Makambako will benefit from subsidies for vaccines and medicines, alongside improved land-use planning to prevent conflicts between farmers and herders.

Dr Nchimbi added that CCM’s manifesto calls for continued construction of tarmac and gravel roads in Makambako, establishment of industrial clusters, and revival of defunct factories to add value to agricultural produce, create business opportunities, and expand markets beyond the region and the country.

He said this plan aligns with directives from President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who emphasised that every district with major crops should have industrial clusters.

Speaking on Lupembe Constituency, Dr Nchimbi said the party manifesto prioritises strengthening agriculture through increased subsidies for fertiliser and seeds, drilling 150 new irrigation wells, and enhancing extension services.

He noted that the health sector will benefit from four new health centres, seven dispensaries, and seven new buildings at Lupembe Hospital, while the education sector will gain four new primary schools, three secondary schools, and over 150 additional classrooms.

Meanwhile, Dr Nchimbi has promised Njombe residents that the upcoming government will upgrade road infrastructures to boost transport and service delivery by connecting all key economic areas in the region.
