Africa-Press – Tanzania. CCM Presidential running mate, Ambassador Emmanuel Nchimbi has unveiled a wideranging development agenda that includes district-level industrial zones.
He also said, should CCM secure victory in the October 2025 General Election, the party will continue to expand social services, create youth empowerment and intensify infrastructure upgrades.
Speaking before thousands of jubilant supporters at Mkula Primary School grounds in Busega, Simiyu Region, Dr Nchimbi expressed the party’s commitment to industrialisation as a driver of economic growth and job creation.
“We want to be self-reliant in local goods manufacturing and, most importantly, we want our youths to access jobs. In the next five years, Tanzania will witness even more remarkable development,” said Dr Nchimbi.
He revealed that every district in the country will be earmarked for industrial development, aimed at boosting production, reducing imports and positioning Tanzania as a competitive manufacturing hub.
Running alongside President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Dr Nchimbi said their government will continue to strengthen democracy and good governance, ensuring inclusive growth across all regions.
In Busega, Dr Nchimbi promised four new health centres and dispensaries, construction of five new secondary schools, two primary schools and the addition of 76 classrooms to reduce overcrowding.
He said access to clean water in the district will rise to 90 per cent as part of the government’s plan to establish a National Clean Water Grid.
Within the first 100 days of the new administration, Dr Nchimbi pledged a targeted campaign against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), including hypertension and diabetes.
He also announced the nationwide rollout of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). On economic empowerment, he revealed that 200bn/- will be allocated to support small-scale businesses, including formalisation of micro-entrepreneurs to ease access to capital.
Dr Nchimbi highlighted key achievements made under President Samia’s current term in Busega, including construction of a district hospital, four health centres, seven dispensaries and nine secondary schools.
Others include an increase in classrooms from 1,043 to 1,342, implementation of 15 water projects worth 12bn/-, including the Lamadi–Mkula project, which raised clean water availability to 72 per cent, subsidised farm inputs that have increased sunflower production from 1.2 to 5.5 tonnes and commitment to democracy and national unity.
While addressing a rally in Bariadi, Dr Nchimbi reaffirmed CCM’s pledge to uphold freedom, equality and the rule of law. He said that the party is committed to finalising the new constitution drafting process, ensuring it reflects the will of the people.
He also insisted peace and solidarity as central pillars of the CCM Election Manifesto 2025–2030. On his side, Busega Parliamentary candidate, Mr Francis Nanai urged party unity, calling on members to rally behind CCM’s chosen candidates, regardless of nomination processes, while former Busega MP Mr Raphael Chegeni, praised the government for fulfilling the 2020–2025 manifesto, saying “CCM implements its promises through real actions.”
While in Tarime District, Mara Region, Dr Nchimbi unveiled a five-year development plan for Nyamongo, with a strong focus on empowering youths through formalised small-scale mining.
He announced that 55 youth groups, comprising over 1,800 young people, have been issued mining licences.
“We’ve addressed a long-standing challenge. These youths now have legal recognition and access to opportunities in small-scale mining. This is the kind of transformation President Samia is championing,” he said.
Regarding development in Tarime, Dr Nchimbi cited significant improvements in healthcare with completion of modern Nyamwaga hospital, health centres increased from six to 11, dispensaries from 31 to 50 and maternal health units from 31 to 62.
In education, primary schools increased from 137 to 162, secondary schools from 38 to 54 and classrooms from 637 to 1,043, while in water supply the coverage rose from 51 to 73 per cent.
He said electricity access rose from 68 to 88 villages.
“You don’t need glasses to see this development. Whether you’re happy or not, it’s visible to all,” he said.
Dr Nchimbi promised that, in the next term, the CCM government will increase dispensaries from 50 to 70, expand health centres from 11 to 20 and raise clean water access to 95 per cent across Tarime.
He also announced major tarmac road projects including Tarime–Mugumu (87 km), Mogabiri–Nyamongo (23 km), Tarime–Mogabiri (9 km) and Nyamongo–Mugumu (48 km).
CCM Tarime District Chairman Mr Daudi Ngicho urged unity, saying “What matters now is CCM’s victory, not factions or divisions. President Samia has proven her dedication to Tanzanians.”
