Africa-Press – Tanzania. Local wine manufacturers have a reason to smile as Tanzanian wine is introduced into the Chinese market.

Tanzania’s Ambassador to China, Mbelwa Kairuki unveiled the locally manufactured wine to the Chinese market of a population of 1.43 billion at the ongoing 2022 Wine Industry Innovation and Investment Conference in Hainan.

Introducing the product, the envoy said Tanzania is “the home to the largest wine producing region in Sub-Saharan Africa” and the country is set to benefit from the existing bilateral relationship between the two countries.

He said the bilateral relation between Tanzania and China has been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, thanks to a recent historic trip made by President Samia Suluhu Hassan to the Asian economic powerhouse.

After unveiling the products, the diplomat was optimistic that Tanzania will receive more investors from China to boost the industry.
