Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA Kabaddi Sports Association (TKSA) has appealed to institutions and sports well-wishers for financial support to rescue the Tanzanian team heading to India for JKL Kabaddi League season 10.

The country’s top five men and four women’s national team members are among African players invited to participate in JKL league which starts in India from late this month to December 21st, 2021.

The JKL is a league platform that gives chances to the youth to showcase their tal- ent.

Abdallah Nyoni, an official from Tanzania TKSA, told the ‘Sunday News’ that they are looking for return tickets of nine players, one official from TKSA and the government, but they have so far managed to get only four tickets.

“We are still looking for seven tickets, we ask for the financial or material support to enable us send the players to India,” he added.

Nyoni said kabaddi is one of the fast growing sports in the country and the JKL league is an important plat- form to improve the Tanzanian players. “JKL is the best platform for upcoming kabaddi play- ers that gives the youngsters a chance to play and change their life,” he said.

“Also is a great opportunity for our association to improve our relationship with JKL because we have a chance to send our player to India for JKL in years to come.”

Nyoni stated players will also benefit financially, improve kabaddi skills and ben- efit national teams as well.

“We have a number of friends in India who are com- mitted to improve the kabaddi sport in Tanzania and as well help many players become professionals,” he said.

He, however, added JKL Society is interested in developing kabaddi Sports in Tanzania and pledged to do a great job for the national team by providing players technical skills, equipment and in- tensive training but Tanzania has to bring its team to India in order to get them.

Nirav Patel, the JKL Man- aging Director said kabaddi players will get high quality hospitality and professional skills while in India.

He said players are in good shape after conducting intensive training in Dar es Salaam for several months.
