Africa-Press – Tanzania. RETURNING Officer for the 2025 General Election in Kibaha Urban Constituency, Coast Region, Ms Theresia Kyara, has called upon public servants and residents to turn out in large numbers and fully participate in the forthcoming polls for councillors, Members of Parliament and the President, scheduled for October 29 this year.

Speaking yesterday to Kibaha Municipal Council officials at the council premises, Ms Kyara underscored the importance of public servants setting a good example by actively participating in the crucial democratic exercise.

“When we encourage residents to go and vote, it is our responsibility as public servants to lead by example and be at the forefront by casting our votes,” she said.

Ms Kyara emphasised that this is the time for citizens to make informed decisions on who should lead the nation by exercising their right to vote peacefully and harmoniously.

She further revealed that all preparations for the upcoming elections are complete, adding that the next step is for citizens to turn out in large numbers on election day to exercise their constitutional right to choose their leaders.

“We urge all Kibaha residents to turn out in large numbers and vote on voting day. All preparations have been completed following the directives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC),” she added.

Meanwhile, Ms Kyara urged municipal officials to keep educating communities about the importance of voting and to ensure that no eligible voters are excluded from the upcoming election.
