Africa-Press – Tanzania. AT least 300 people are set to climb Africa’s rooftop next month as part of marking Tanzania’s 60th anniversary.
Already, 121 have already participated in the mission, Natural Resources and Tourism Minister Damas Ndumbaro told reporters on Sunday while launching the Kili Climb campaign.
According to Dr Ndumbaro, this year’s mission to Mt Kilimanjaro will have a lot of significance as the country celebrates its birthday on December 9, 2021 when successful climbers will be descending from the summit.
“Unlike the previous missions, this will be a special one as Tanzania celebrates its independence,” he explained.
