Africa-Press – Tanzania. CCM Presidential Candidate, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, today unveiled a wide-ranging development plan for Kondoa District, promising stronger investment in healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic growth.
Speaking before thousands of supporters at a campaign rally, Samia said the government under her leadership has already delivered meaningful change and is ready to accelerate progress if re-elected. She pledged to build four new health centres and five dispensaries, improve rural roads to ensure year-round access, and roll out an extensive irrigation and agricultural programme to boost productivity.
The CCM flagbearer also committed to establishing a modern central market and a special investment zone, projects she said would attract businesses, create jobs, and raise household incomes across Kondoa.
Kijaji: Kondoa is Witnessing Real Change
Kondoa MP and Minister for Industry and Trade, Dr Ashatu Kijaji, reinforced the message, reminding residents of the district’s transformation in recent years. She noted that Kondoa once had only two water sources, but now has 154, while access to clean water has surged from just 0.2 percent to 89 percent in four years.
“Not long ago, Kondoa had no health centres at all. Today we have six, and another one is under construction. This is evidence that development is real, and with Samia at the helm, more is coming,” she said.
Voter Mobilisation
CCM parliamentary candidate for Kondoa Urban, Mariam Ditopile, urged residents to turn out in large numbers for the upcoming General Election.
“Your vote is your voice. Do not let anyone convince you to stay away. This is our chance to secure development for Kondoa,” she told the crowd.
Former CCM Secretary General, Dr Bashiru Ally, also addressed the gathering, praising Samia for her efforts in strengthening party unity and consolidating national stability.
The Kondoa rally marks another major stop in Samia’s nationwide campaign trail as CCM seeks to retain the presidency and consolidate its development agenda.
